Author Arcana

I created 26 tarot-inspired pieces for Santa Fe's Keep Contemporary Gallery, as a counterpoint to Elizabeth Leggett’s marvelous Ray Bradbury tarot deck. Each card is 24.5" × 15" and features a portrait of the author, a quote, an iconic symbol, and references to their works.

Today, George RR Martin’s portrait hangs in a place of honor at nearby Beastly Books, and John Scalzi’s somewhere in his midwestern manse. I am even now drawing up their replacements - Terry Pratchett and Kieron Gillen.
